HOP Leadership Team Promotions

We are very pleased to announce Tristan becoming a Director of the Company. Tristan has more than 11 years extensive experience in the maritime sector, covering all aspects of design and asset management. Tristan currently leads the Team managing Brighton Marina, investigating innovative methods of maintaining and extending the lifespan of the caissons and breakwaters forming the Marina.

Tristan also has extensive experience working on substantial new and mixed use development, piers, docks and slipways including the wet basin at Pendennis where the new lock gate was floated into position after being pre-formed on land. Tristan is keen to provide innovation and advancement of Engineering solutions for the benefit of the Clients at the initial investment phase and also through the asset management considerations into the future.

As part of Tristan’s new role, he is looking to engage further in HOP’s apprenticeship and trainee scheme. Tristan is looking to build on his current role as a Supervising Civil Engineer (ICE), assisting Graduates in expanding their experience and capabilities towards Chartership and their ongoing Continued Professional Development.

Tristan is really looking forward to helping HOP move forward by a continued programme of staff development and utilising his extensive experience in the marine sector to assist our Clients in achieving their goals and aspirations within the projects that we assist with.

Carlo joined HOP in 2009 having completed a degree in Economics.  Realising that his creative interests lay elsewhere, Carlo undertook a career change and HOP was able to offer the training opportunity he sought. We supported Carlo’s academic transition and eventual achievement of an MSc in Civil Engineering.

Carlo’s evident passion for Engineering and his own personal development has seen him evolve from Technician to Chartered Engineer and Team Lead, where we are pleased to promote him to Associate.  Client testimonials make note of Carlo’s strengths in being a great communicator. Carlo builds positive relationships with all those he works with, injecting his engineering knowledge, skill and attention to detail with honesty and good humour.  Carlo has been instrumental in the successful delivery of recent prestigious HOP projects, such as new Jaguar Land Rover projects across the country and the recent HMRC Specialist Site in Worthing.

We look forward to Carlo supporting the Board as part of our Senior Leadership Team.
